Why our reviews take longer than most

Why our reviews take longer than most

People sometimes ask why we're slower to post than other sites. The short answer is that we don't write about a game until we've really played it, and that takes time.

A proper review means installing the game on more than one device, playing past the honeymoon phase, and seeing whether the fun holds up after the novelty fades. Plenty of games are great for an hour and tedious by day three. That difference only shows up with time.

We also play games the way normal people do — in short sessions, over days, often while tired on a couch. That tells us far more about a mobile game than a focused marathon would. Phones are played in the gaps of life, not in a lab.

Does this mean we miss some launch-day traffic? Sure. But we'd rather be the site you trust than the site that got there first. Slow reviews are the whole point.
