Strategy
Frostline Command
★★★★☆ 4.3
Frostline Command asks you to run an outpost in a brutal winter, and everything revolves around logistics. You can field an army, but if you can't keep it fed and warm, it won't last. That focus on supply over brute force gives the game a distinct feel.
Battles play out in real time but you can pause to issue orders, which makes the touchscreen controls far less fiddly than they could have been. We lost our first three outposts before the systems clicked, and then it became hard to put down.
It's demanding, and the early tutorial could explain more. But for players who want a strategy game with weight, this one delivers long campaigns worth sinking into.
What we liked
- Logistics-driven gameplay, not just troop spam
- Pausable real-time battles made for touch
- Deep campaigns with real consequences
